CdA Race Day
June 27 was the Coeur d'Alene Ironman Triathlon that a group of us did in memory of our friend, Nancy Sellars. Nancy had wanted to do the race to celebrate her 50th birthday. This would have been the year, so we did it to remember her. Barb Fagan carried a few of her ashes to scatter at the finish. As for the race itself, the swim was cold and brutal (think of a blender of ice cold water filled with 2,500 swimmers), but the bike was good (hilly but not too) and the run was primarily near the lake with only a few minor hills. These are photos that the Li'l Mister took on race day.
