Badwater 2008 - Mary's turn - #

After crewing at the Badwater Ultramarathon -- 135 miles from Badwater in Death Valley to the Portal Trail of Mt. Whitney –– I decided to give it a try myself this year. My crew included Bonnie Busch, Nikki Seger, Stephanie Astell and Scott Jacaway. All except Stephanie were veteran race finishers and crew people. Competitors have 60 hours to complete the event and I hoped to go under 48 to "buckle." I squeezed in just seconds under 46 hours. Many thanks to my crew, without which I could have never done this -- SERIOUSLY!
