Jason Dorgan, finisher of Badwater, the Grand Slam and many other ultra achievements, as well as co-RD of the Kettle Moraine 100, decided to run the COMPLETE Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin -- 1,079 miles. Doing this on an extended vacation from work, he had a tight timeline -- April 14 to May 6. Dave and I had the priviledge of spending a few hours with him May 5 -- the day before he would finish his quest. Expecting to find him tired and worn, we were surprised to see Jason upbeat and RUNNING. Not just a light jog, not a death march sort of run, but full-scale, feet off the ground RUNNING! Wow! To learn about the whole run, go to Jason's website at:

Courtesy of Robert, we have a gang photo of everyone who saw Jason complete his 22nd day on the Ice Age trail. Pictured in the mix are me and the L'il Mister, Jason's parents, his sister and her family, a reporter from Oshkosh, the Bunks and Jason's folks. Oh, and of course JASON (center, grey shirt)! The next day he only had another 30 miles to his goal. WOW!
